A lot of people say the mission has the best tacquierias, but you can find delicious places across the city. El Sol is a great example. I live upstairs and have gotten probably 50+ burritos from this place and every one has been killer. Simple menu, they put it together on the spot (like all real tacquerias) and it's bomb. This and Pharohs across the street are tendernob gems at a good price and you can't wrong. Recommending a carne Assad super burrito.

Taste good but won't feel good after you've eaten here. Guarantee stomach ache the next day every time. I had the burrito with beef. Won't be going back here ever again. Fooled me a few times but never again!

Great food & price. Breakfast burrito is great, but please update open hours on yelp. I waited around until 10am to get my breakfast today because that is when Yelp says El Sol opens (then waited in line behind lots of people getting their lunch...) only to find out they actually open at 9am (much closer to breakfast time). I've tried updating the yelp page myself but please make sure the correct hours are posted.. so many times I opt to eat elswhere becuase of the late open hour posted.

Tried to buy rice and beans for a fellow human in need. Someone who obviously needed some protein. They wouldn't sell to me because I didn't hit their $8 minimum. Really? How rude.

This place was great and up the street from my hotel. Very friendly staff! Got 3 tacos: Fish, Al Pastor, and Beef. Some how I ended up with 2 SUPER tacos (Al Pastor and Beef, the Fish was priced differently) and at $4 each, the amount of food is worth the price. 2 sturdy but not bland tortillas held together as they were topped with about a quarter pound of meat and all of the toppings they had. I usually just get sour cream, pico de Gallo, and salsa picante (hot sauce), but I was hungry so when asked about toppings/trimmings I said, "Todos" (all of them).
I ended up with about 3 pounds of food and a Coke for $19 that kept me full through the rest of the night
